The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed veteran point guard and former NBA MVP Derrick Rose.   Rose will join former teammates Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Aaron Brooks, and former coach Tom Thibodeau for the remainder of the season.

This combo of players and coach were last together a few years ago in the 2014-2015 season on the Chicago Bulls.  At that time, they had made it to the second round of the playoffs where they eventually lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This is all according to USA Today and was first reported this morning.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently in 6th place in the Western Conference.  The addition of Rose helps keep the Timberwolves playoff dreams alive.  Rose was released from the Utah Jazz after a trade with Cleveland.  He's been suffering from injuries this season, but the Timberwolves obviously hope that he can be a good fit for the team and secure a playoff spot for the first time since 2004.
