The Minnesota Vikings Foundation is hitting the road in a new food truck to help battle youth food insecurity.

The 'Vikings Table' is a 38-foot food truck that has been custom built with the mission of serving healthy meals and nutritional education to youth.

Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf says, “Approximately 250,000 children in Minnesota are missing meals during the summer months. This initiative provides an opportunity for our Foundation to work alongside other non-profit organizations in the fight against youth food insecurity and use the Vikings platform in an effort to remove existing barriers facing traditional non-profit work.”

The truck will operate from June to December and will deliver food to schools, summer education programs, youth enrichment centers, and other locations where it may be needed.

The food truck was built by Winnebago and has enough room for 10 people to prepare food and it is a zero waste vehicle that features Energy Star rated appliances and built-in solar panels.
