The community is coming together to help a Minnesota teenager who has had quite a traumatic childhood. A GoFundMe and a special fundraising event have been organized to help the family with costs and help Regun heal.

According to the GoFundMe page, Regun comes from a very traumatic and abusive background. Due to the abuse and neglect, he was placed in foster care, and all together went through 14 different foster situations before he was adopted.

His now mother Shelly, first met Regun when he came into the dental office for care due to his neglect. She fell in love with his cute little face and his big long eyelashes. They eventually adopted him through an experience described as a roller coaster of emotions. They finally were able to get him home and in a good place when cancer struck.

Regun has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a form of aggressive bone cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy which will continue for the next 25 weeks. Regun and his new parents Brent and Shelly have been through so much. Friends and family want to help ease the financial burden.
