At this point, you're probably sick of hearing about a major nationwide chain going out of business. It's been happening a lot lately.

Late last year, Macy's was one of those chains, sharing that they would be closing stores across the country by the end of the year.

Now, we know which locations will be closing in Minnesota. As of now, there are 66 different locations closing nationwide.

Of those, there are a handful of Minnesota locations that didn't make the cut and will close.

Minnesota Macy's Store Closures

As of now, these are the two locations that are closing:

Maplewood Mall location at 3001 White Bear Avenue in St. Paul

Burnsville Center location at 1178 Burnsville Center in Burnsville

As of now, there is not an exact closing date but liquidation sales will kick off soon. Those sales will be active for two to three months. There will be nine locations left in Minnesota after this round of closures.

Are Any Wisconsin Locations Closing?

As of now, there are no Wisconsin locations closing. That could change later this year as Macy's announces more closures, a total of 150 by the end of the year.

I feel like I am one of the last people on earth who actually prefers shopping in person instead of online. I hate buying something online, waiting for it and then having to return it. There is just something about buying something in person that seems like a lost art now.
