Ope! This is the type of scam that I would probably fall for. The Minnesota Department Of Revenue is warning everyone about a new scam.
Their warning was released yesterday via press release and like I said, while some scams are easy to spot, this one is a little bit harder to!

There is always some sort of scam going around. Scammers really have thought of everything. There was even a romance scam going around a few months ago!
The scam involved someone being love-bombed by a fake internet significant other and you can probably put the pieces together about the rest.

There are so many different facets to finances and being an adult that it can be hard to keep track of everything! This scam is pretty straightforward, though. It all starts with a text message, complete with a link, asking Minnesotans to click the link and give some basic information.

The message is supposedly from the Minnesota Department Of Revenue and entices people to click the link and update their banking information so that they can get a refund. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
