2026 Minnesota Bigfoot Expedition
The 2026 Minnesota Bigfoot Expedition will take place Thursday, September 24, through Sunday, September 27th, 2026. Locations for the event will be shared once registration is complete. The Bigfoot Research Field Organization selects organizers who have the most information in a given state. The leader of the Minnesota expedition is investigator Bob Barhite. Bob has led expeditions in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.
Other experienced Bigfoot hunters will help out, too. The expedition is open to non-members, but there is a cost associated.
Registration Cost Varies From $300-$500 per person.
The expedition isn't cheap. Their FAQ page says the fee pays for the organizational efforts prior to the trip, special use permits, and other costs. The fee also ensures that only people serious about Bigfoot will be on the trip.

Bring Your Own Gear, Meals, And Equipment
The fee doesn't cover meals or camping gear, or anything. You need to bring your own transportation, food, drinks, water, and camping gear and clothing for whatever weather you'll encounter.
No Guns Allowed
It specifically states that you are not allowed to bring a gun on the expedition hike. The website assures members that Bigfoot doesn't attack humans.
Encounters and Hikes At Night
The organizers say they will bring participants to areas where they will have encounters with Bigfoots at night. They suggest packing small meals that are trail-ready. Read more about the expedition and get registered at bfro.net.
