I've said this before but Minnesota is really catching on. Not only has the state become a hot spot of sorts for film production but we've had quite a few stars visiting our neck of the woods lately as well.

Just a few days ago, for example, a reality television fan spotted two Bravo stars vacationing in Lake Geneva recently. Sure, Wisconsin isn't Minnesota but it's close enough in this instance. Ha!

Now, one of the most famous stars in Hollywood can check Minnesota off his list. Lin-Manuel Miranda spent most of his week last week in our region and the reason why is pretty heartwarming.

The award-winning actor shared a carousel of photos from a busy June, and most of them are from his trip here, which spanned from the 22nd of the month through the 25th.

He then shared that they rented a car and went on a mini road trip to see the attraction in Darwin, which is a very Minnesota thing to do if you ask me. He then had dinner and ice cream on Lake Minnetonka, which is another very Minnesotan thing to do!

He shared some photos, including a selfie, from the largest ball of twine and a few other pictures from his Minnesota adventure. The best part? He poked fun at himself, as a Minnesota news outlet wrote about him posing with fans at a local ice cream joint.

He shared a screenshot inside of his carousel and shared that the rumors were true. I love that he doesn't take things too seriously! Maybe next time he comes to visit in the summertime he will make the trek up to Duluth. How fun.
