It's been a cold, snowy start to the spring.  We've finally started to see some warmer temperatures, and the spring thaw has begun, but not soon enough.  The Chippewa National Forest Campground is delaying the opening for the 2018 season due to the lingering snow pack.

This announcement comes from the USDA Forest Service.  The forest service will continue to asses the situation and update the public as conditions improve.

Typically, weather and conditions allow crews to access trail systems and campgrounds with ATVs and clean up debris.  This year that is not the case.
