Duluth's medical providers are facing a critical need for more face masks.  Together, they've launched a "Land Of 10,000 Masks" campaign to help meet their needs.

The goal of this joint effort is to increase their supply of masks by 10,000.  They acknowledge how generous the Northland has already been, but more donations of homemade cloth masks are needed to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and protect their patients, staff and our community.

Masks, as well as other items, may be dropped off at:

Essentia Health-Miller Hill Health Plaza
1600 Miller Trunk Hwy, Bldg. C in Duluth
Monday - Friday between 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

St. Luke’s
1015 E 1st St. in Duluth.  Building A (first-floor entrance)
Monday - Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

VIP Pizza-Superior
1201 Tower Ave in Superior
7 days a week from 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
*This is an additional Essentia Health location

Since the virus is spread via droplet transmission, medical professionals believe that covering as many mouths and noses as possible is crucial. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention encourages people to wear face coverings in public settings, especially where social distancing might not be possible.

If you need instructions on how to make preferred masks, the video above will help.
