The Chancellor of Minnesota State stopped by Lake Superior College yesterday to announce that $7 million dollars in scholarships has been awarded to the school. This obviously will give many new and existing students the opportunity to continue their education with out having to take out as much money for student loans.

According to CBS3 the Chancellor said “We are very excited about these additional scholarships because they will enable us to enhance access, provide resources to those who would like to come get some additional credentials for high paying jobs but just didn’t have the resources.”

For some students who have other scholarships as well they could possibly attend school at LSC for little or no cost at all. Students who are interested will be able to a apply for these workforce development scholarships starting in August of this year!
