Kenny Chesney Schedules Benefit Concert With Michael Douglas and Morgan Freeman
Just because he is one of country music’s busiest artists doesn’t mean Kenny Chesney doesn’t have time to give back to those in need. On May 26, the singing superstar will team up with award-winning actors Michael Douglas and Morgan Freeman for the PLAN!T NOW non-profit organization, which was designed to help those affected by the flurry of natural disasters in the past several months.
Of course, the concert is just one way of raising money that week — the 11th Annual Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament, which is co-hosted by Freeman. Chesney’s concert will be held at the Atlantis, with all of the proceeds benefiting PLAN!T NOW.
Chesney has been a longtime supporter of the organization and has granted over $100,000 in scholarships to students impacted by severe weather events over the past several months. Those who wish to contribute to PLAN!T NOW can visit their official website by clicking here.
A month following Chesney’s PLAN!T NOW performance, he will link up with Tim McGraw on the Brothers of the Sun Tour. The 20-stadium trek has already become one of the summer’s best-selling tours, raking in over 600,000 tickets sold to date. In other Chesney news, look for him to drop a brand new record on June 19.
