Kenny Chesney Announces Lineup For Minnesota U.S. Bank Stadium Show
Kenny Chesney's originally titled "Chillaxification Tour" was supposed to be at U.S. Bank Stadium on May 2, 2020. However, the pandemic made that date impossible so that show was initially rescheduled to June 5, 2021. Unfortunately, lingering pandemic related issues made it impossible for Kenny to properly plan a full stadium tour in 2021.
While 2021 brought vaccinations and some hope of normalcy, planning a major tour was still impossible, especially early in the year, because of restrictions in place across the country.
Kenny addressed the issue at at time:
“We have waited for so long, I can’t play knowing I would disappoint a portion of No Shoes Nation who wouldn’t be able to get into the stadiums and the amphitheaters,” Chesney says. “There’s no way around that this year. As much I hate postponing further, I would hate telling people who waited we won’t be able to let them come due to capacity restrictions. That’s just not fair.”
Then, an announcement was made that Kenny Chesney would at long last perform at U.S. Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 6, 2022. While we had a date, we didn't have many other details, including who would be performing with Kenny on the new tour. We now have that information!
Kenny Chesney has announced the new tour is called The Here & Now Tour 2022. Opening for Kenny will be Dan + Shay, Old Dominion and Carly Pearce. If you don't already have tickets, there's a sweet incentive this week only to get yours now.
All three of these artists are have reached headliner status in their own right, so it truly will be a full day of great music with variety to boot.
Those needing to still purchase tickets should do so this week. From Monday, November 1 through Friday, November 5, ticket prices have been reduced! This special 5 Day Party Pricing is only good through November 5, so take advantage of the deal and have your tickets within minutes.
If you have tickets for the original 2020 date, those tickets will still be honored on August 6, 2022 for this show. If you have printed tickets, they've likely faded a bit by now but they'll still be accepted.
Kenny Chesney brings a fun energy to all of his shows and after having to wait so long to get this tour on the road, one can only imagine how much everyone will cut loose at U.S. Bank Stadium. Get ready, No Shoes Nation!
