Keith Urban Announces New Tour With Show At Xcel Energy Center
After taking a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, it looks like Keith Urban is itching to get back on stage! The country star just announced a massive world tour and it is headed our way.
He announced the big tour with a humorous video early Wednesday (December 1st). He shared it to his social media pages while rocking casual clothes. He also shared a little glimpse into his backyard!
The Speed Of Now World Tour kicks off in Tampa, Florida in June of next year. It will take Keith Urban and opener Ingrid Andress across the country, ending with a stop in Minnesota to close the entire tour.
The tour will also head to Canada for a few dates. Because it is a world tour, it is possible he will add more international dates at a later time. For now, let's celebrate that he is coming to Minnesota!
The tour will head to the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, November 5th of 2022. Doors for the show will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.
The Xcel Energy Center is located at 199 West Kellogg Boulevard in St. Paul. The venue is a few hour drive from the Twin Ports - and totally worth it!
Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, December 10th at 10 a.m. You can buy tickets via the Xcel Energy Center's website when they go on sale at a later date.
As mentioned, Ingrid Andress will act as opener of the tour. She opened for Keith Urban before prior to the pandemic so this will not be the first time they head out on the road together! She shared her excitement on Instagram shortly after the tour was announced.
This is one of many recent concert announcements as of late. It seems like there has been a bunch of artists announcing they are hitting the road again next year and after a few years without. I am more than ready to attend some shows.
Prior to 2022 - or right as we roll into 2022- Thomas Rhett will be playing a show at the venue. He announced a special New Year's Eve show at the Xcel Energy Center, along with opener Cole Swindell. Tickets for that show are on sale now and it is going to be an epic time!
Kane Brown is another huge artist who announced a show in the Twin Cities. He will be headlining a show at the Target Center in January, along with Chase Rice. He shared that news back in April after having to postpone tour dates throughout the pandemic.
