Keep an Eye Out For Our Lift Bridge Video Series Coming Next Week

It's a lift bridge selfie!  Yesterday Cathy and I got a rare opportunity.  We got to go up into the lift bridge house, and it was really interesting.  It all started back when Cathy had a misunderstanding with the lift bridge operator when he was clearing the bridge to go up.  After a chat with the city, the bridge operator supervisor, the city of Duluth's communication officer, and the mayor, Cathy was invited up.  I tagged along like a lost puppy.

Even though I felt pretty down with my cold, there was no way I could miss this chance!  It was really cool, and I have a new understanding for the stress of the bridge operator.  They've got to make sure they keep everyone safe, and people don't always cooperate.
