From May 4 - 31st, you can see some incredible historical photographs, manuscripts and other memorabilia at Karpeles Manuscript Museum as they present Einstein Disguised as Robinhood-Bob Dylan an Exhibition.  These are from the William Pagel Archives.

If you're a Bob Dylan fan, you know that Bill Pagel has devoted time to be a Dylan historian, researcher and collector.  He has agreed to put some of the memorabilia on exhibit in celebration of Bob Dylan's 75th birthday.  You can expect over 25 display cases with rare photographs, handwritten lyric sheets, inscribed photos and the legal documents from when Bob changed his name from Robert Zimmerman to Robert Dylan.  It's also part of the Duluth Dylan Fest, May 22-29.  [MORE]

Events to Mark on the Calendar

There will be special concert on Wednesday, May 25 featuring Cowboy Angel Blue at Karpeles Manuscript Museum starting at 8p.

If you are an up and coming singer or song writer here's something for you.  The Duluth Dylan Fest will be hosting the 2016 Singer/Songwriter contest. Mark Friday, May 27, on your calendar at be at the Clyde Iron Works, 2920 West  Michigan Street, Duluth by 7 PM. As a contestant you'll need to perform one Dylan song and one original song. However, only the original composition will be judged. You need to register in advance to be in the contest and space is limited, so hurry!

TO REGISTER FOR THE CONTEST, you need to either  e-mail duluthdylanfest@gmail.com or call 218-393-7438 or 218-391-6299. They need your name, address, email, cell phone, and a brief sentence as to why you are interested in performing at the contest.
