Jayme Closs Family Home in Barron Torn Down
The bank that owned the Barron, Wisconsin house that used to be the home of Jayme Closs and her family has decided to tear it down. There had been reports that the house would be listed for sale.
Our media partners at WDIO-TV are reporting the bank's decision while adding:
During Patterson's sentencing, Jayme said she couldn't return to the house. "I felt safe in my home and I loved my room and all of my belongings. He took all of that," she said in a letter she wrote that was read by a guardian in court. "I don't want to even see my home or my stuff because of the memory of that night. My parents and my home were the most important things in my life."
After the violence that took place in that house last October and out of respect to the unfathomable trauma Jayme experienced and her statement, I think that tearing down that home was the easily the best decision.
