Jake Owen's new single "I Was Jack, You Were Diane" has been out on the radio for a while.  Now, he's released the music video which is really more like a short film tribute to the iconic John Mellencamp song.  The video is nearly 9 minutes long, but it's worth the watch as it really shows how that song has impacted so many people's lives.

The first time I heard Jake Owen sample Mellencamp's tune I was a little offended.  It wasn't until I heard that he had John Mellencamp's blessing that I truly started to appreciate it.  This video really enforces what a tribute it is to the song and Mellencamp himself. It's also a song that many of us can relate to.
