Popular Ninja Brand Product Recalled, Lawsuits Have Been Filed
When it comes to popular products, you would be hard pressed to find a brand that has had more success in recent years than the Ninja Brand of products.

Ninja has become one of the “sexy” or “have to have” brands and their creations have spawned many spin-off versions of products that mostly aren’t made as well as Ninja.
The company offers a wide range of items and for the most part has a great reputation for the product being worth what you paid for it.
But there is one Ninja product that has hit a snag, and the company has recalled it because a malfunction could lead to the user being burned.
The Ninja “Shark Ninja” Foodi OP300 Series Pressure Cooker was recalled yesterday according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The company reports that over 1.8 million of these pressure cookers were sold in the United States, along with over 180,000 in Canada.
The issue with this pressure cooker is that the lid can be opened during use which will cause hot contents to leave the container and burn the user.
The are several model numbers of this pressure cooker that fall under the recall, and they are:
OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP305, OP305CO and OP350CO
These numbers will be found on the side of the pressure cooker. Ninja says that you will see an additional code following the model numbers, but those numbers have no bearing on the recall.
There have been 106 reports of burn injuries that have caused this recall. 50 of those burns were 2nd and 3rd degree burns. There have been 26 lawsuits filed according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
This Ninja Pressure cooker was widely sold at Wal-Mart, Costco, Sam’s, Target, Amazon and through the Ninja website.
If you own one of these products, you are urged to stop using it immediately and contact Shark Ninja for a free replacement lid. The company stresses that all of the other Ninja products are safe to continue using.
