11 Full-Size Liquid Items You Can Now Fly With From Iowa, Illinois, And Wisconsin
There may be more to the TSA's infamous liquid limit rule than you thought.
If you've flown at any point in the last several years, you've been met with TSA's 3-1-1 liquid rule for your carry-ons. It allows you to stuff in your carry-on a quart-sized bag of liquids, gels, or aerosols that are in travel-sized containers that are 3.4 oz or less.
It's kind of a pain in the tail, but you know better (or at least should) than to pack your full-size shampoo and conditioner in your carry-on. It's going in the trash at TSA.
Now, you can fly with full-sized liquids in your carry-on if you're coming back into the U.S. from an international flight. You have to show evidence of the liquid item being bought in the last 48 hours and proof that it hasn't been tampered with.
Following the TSA's liquids rule is so important as you're in line at security so you don't clog up the line and make a whole bunch of people wait unnecessarily.
But as Reader's Digest points out, there are some super specific, random items that are full-size liquids that you can have in your carry-on going through TSA. But you have to let the agents at security know that you have it.
So before we all start traveling for Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, and all the other festivities of 2024, let's review the only full-size liquids you can bring in your carry-on. Everything else needs to go in your checked bag.
