MN Man Accused of Advertising Cocaine on SnapChat Pleads Guilty
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man who allegedly advertised on social media that he had cocaine for sale has admitted to a first-degree drug sales charge.
25-year-old Demontae Bragg entered into a plea deal with Olmsted County prosecutors that calls for the dismissal of a third-degree drug charge. The allegations stemmed from a Rochester Police Department investigation in December 2021 that utilized the services of a police informant.
According to the criminal complaint Bragg sold cocaine to the informant on two separate occasions. The court document says it was the informant who told investigators about the SnapChat cocaine advertisement.
The charges against Bragg say he sold just under 29 grams of cocaine to the informant during the first controlled buy conducted as part of the police investigation. The second purchase by the informant was for just over 4 grams of the drug. Both transactions allegedly took place in the 1000 block of North Broadway.
Bragg is scheduled to be sentenced in April. He was previously released from custody without bail.
