Expert Says Minnesotans Who Are Overwhelmed Should Try This
You'd think that being highly-organized would lessen your worries. After all, knowing when an event is and where things are means there are less things to worry about...right?
Welp, having a well-organized life isn't just about knowing what to do, and when. *surprised Pikachu face*
Make a To-Don't List For Your Well-Being
While a to-do list can keep you on task, a to-don't list is meant to help you declutter your well-being.
De-what your huh?
Examples of to-don't items:
- Don't skip lunch to keep working
- Don't schedule meetings between 8am and 11am
- Don't commit to too many social engagements
- Don't sit in one place for over an hour
- Don't forget to look away from the computer to rest your eyes
- Don't drink too much coffee
A to-don't list is not meant to be made everyday; it's a list to check in on to remind yourself of what NOT to do, and perhaps to add to.
If you can cutdown on or eliminate non-essential things that are taking up too much of your time and joy, your overall well-being will have room to breathe.
Or just invest heavily in bubble wrap.
I already avoid so many things that my to-don't list isn't all that big. Or maybe it's because my internal to-don't list is stacked.
