A new report claims Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, may be headed for divorce.

According to TMZ, court records show that Jelly Roll filed for divorce in Tennessee in May.

The outlet further reports that sources described the split as a mutual decision and a private family matter.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have become one of country music's most recognizable couples in recent years.

The pair first met in 2015, before Jelly Roll's rise to mainstream country stardom, and tied the knot in August 2016.

Throughout his career, Jelly Roll has frequently credited Bunnie Xo with supporting him through some of the most difficult periods of his life and helping him build the career he enjoys today.

Their Unconventional Love Story

The reported split comes just weeks after Bunnie Xo opened up about the early years of her relationship with Jelly Roll while promoting her upcoming memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.

Speaking with Extra, Bunnie Xo reflected on how both she and Jelly Roll entered marriage without many healthy examples of love.

“My husband was raised in a home where… we were not taught how to love properly,” she said. “We didn’t know.”

She also addressed long-running speculation about their relationship, explaining that their early approach to marriage was more about honesty than traditional labels.

It wasn’t like we were swingers… putting pineapples out on your doors. It was just more fluid, like… ‘We don’t believe in monogamy right now, so you know, if there’s something that you want, just be honest about it.’

According to Bunnie Xo, transparency was always the priority as they navigated those early years together.

A Relationship Built on Growth

During the same interview, Bunnie Xo credited Jelly Roll with helping her grow by accepting her exactly as she was.

“He never tried to save me,” she said. “He never tried to come in and be like, ‘You can’t do this. You need to change who you are.’ He always just loved me where I was at, and the way that he loved me made me want to change for him.”

The couple renewed their vows in 2023 and have frequently spoken publicly about the challenges they overcame throughout their relationship.
