For those looking to expand their education beyond a bachelor's degree, U.S. News & World Report has just released its updated list of Best Graduate Schools.

One Wisconsin college earned a number one spot. The rankings evaluated graduate schools across various disciplines, including medicine, business, engineering, nursing, education, law, and social sciences.

UW-Madison Named Best for Education

If you are seeking a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in education, the best school in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report, is the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The school ranked as the top choice out of 258 colleges evaluated.

U.S. News & World Report states that "Schools were assessed on their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence."

The University of Wisconsin-Madison achieved an overall score of 100; it doesn't get much better than that. They also ranked highly in several education school specialty rankings, placing number one in "Curriculum and Instruction" and "Educational Psychology."

Unique Support for Future Wisconsin Teachers

Furthermore, the UW-Madison School of Education developed a program called the "Teacher Pledge." Through this initiative, they will pay the "equivalent of in-state tuition and fees, testing, and licensing costs" for students who pledge to teach for up to four years in Wisconsin after graduation.
