Is The Gander Outdoors “Good Sam Club” A Good Deal?

Right after the rebranded Gander Mountain opened as Gander Outdoors, I stopped in during what the called their "Grand Opening" week.  My brother had just started a job there and he mentioned how good the deals were going to be compared to before.

I  browsed around and saw indeed that prices were better than they had been on firearms and various other items. I settled on a new pair of Oakley sunglasses and headed to the checkout.  There they offered for me to sign up for the "Good Sam Club".  Boasting an extra 10% off every purchase including more off my first purchase with it, I signed up for 2 years at $50.  Since then I have used it several times and I do think it's worth it, but more than every day buying, they send mailers with screaming deals just for Good Sam Members.  So far I think it's been worth it, especially if you can wait for better deals on say a firearm or a gun safe.  You can get more details on becoming a member here.
