I was out deer hunting this last weekend. At one point I was slowly walking through the woods and I looked down and found this top half of a skull. At first I assumed it was a deer skull, but then realized it was pretty small for that. So what the heck did I find here?

It has wide set eye sockets that would fit a deer.  The teeth appear to be softer and not pointed like a carnivore, so I'm thinking perhaps an herbivore? It is small and I only have the top half. We thought maybe it was from a fawn that died?

If you have any idea let me know in the comments section. I guess moral of the story is keep an eye out for more than just deer when you are deer hunting, you may find something else worth taking home!
