Get ready for some significant snow.

The National Weather Service in Duluth put out their latest projections for the latest round of winter weather hitting the Northland.

They say the storm will start impacting the area Friday afternoon into Saturday night, with the heaviest snow Friday night into Saturday morning.

Most of the area will see 6-10 inches of new snow accumulation, the highest amounts are expected along the North Shore.

After the snow ends we can expect strong winds up to 35 mph Saturday late-afternoon into Saturday night. This blowing snow will make travel very difficult.
