
A Look At Grandma’s Marathon Weekend, Per The Old Farmer’s Almanac
It's a new month, which means I always like to look at the Old Farmer's Almanac to see what the month ahead holds for the Northland.
I am not even sure if I believe in the methodology of the Old Farmer's Almanac, since they make long-term weather predictions by region, but I still like to look, especially during the wintertime just out of curiosity.

I decided to look again since the famous Grandma's Marathon takes place in Duluth next month! This year has definitely flown by.
The big Grandma's Marathon races take place on June 21st, with the William A. Irvin taking place the night before. So what is the Old Farmer's Almanac predicting for that weekend?

According to their weather predictions for our region, which includes the Duluth area and most of Minnesota and Wisconsin, it might be a rainy one this year!

The Old Farmer's Almanac says we can expect 'thunderstorms' and 'cooler conditions' for a few days, from June 19th through the 23rd, with Grandma's Marathon weekend right in the middle!
Don't panic just yet! First off, not everyone believes in the methodology of the Old Farmer's Almanac. Plus, even if you did believe in their methodology, we all know that things can change quickly in the Northland and the race is still two months away!
What The Weather Usually Like For Grandma's Marathon Weekend In Duluth
If it does happen to rain, it wouldn't be the first time! Anyone remember last year? That was definitely a wet one but in my opinion, it all adds to the experience - and it's better than a scorching hot race.
