Gorgeous Amnicon Falls State Park Needs Your Vote for Bragging Rights in DNR’s Wisconsin State Park Treasure Contest

Amnicon Falls State Park is up against 16 other Wisconsin State Parks with head-to-head competition.  If you've been there, you've already enjoyed all that nature and the state of Wisconsin has to offer.  If you haven't, you now have a destination for the family to check out.  Either way, Amnicon State Park needs your votes!

You have the opportunity to vote for one park from the 16 that the DNR has chosen based on different regions of the state.  I noticed when I went to the voting page it was kind of set up like the March Madness brackets, only with state parks of Wisconsin.

According to a press release from the WI DNR, you can vote in the "first round" until March 25.  The next round until April 1 (no foolin') and then from April 2-4 you'll have four teams to vote from until were down to only one which will be voted on April 5-7.  You can vote once per day.

The winning park will be announced on Tuesday, April 8, and one person will be randomly selected to win a prize package of a $50 Wisconsin state park campsite gift certificate, donated by Active Network, Inc., a 2014 resident annual state park sticker, a 2014 annual trail pass, and a campfire cookbook, all donated by the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks.

There is no cost to enter the contest, but they do ask you to "like" the Wisconsin DNR Facebook page to enter. But what's not to like, I love the area and have officiated several weddings there.  I urge you to visit, picnic and make memories with your family and friends as soon as you get the chance.  Oh, and be sure to vote, let's give Amnicon Falls the recognition it deserves.
