GoFundMe Page Started For Pilot Killed in Brainerd Medical Helicopter Crash
Tragedy struck Friday in Minnesota when a North Memorial Health helicopter crashed as it entered the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport.
The victims names have been released and a GoFundMe Page has been started for one of them.
According to StarTribune.com, killed in the crash were helicopter pilot Tim McDonald, a 44 year-old father of 4 who lived in Wisconsin, and 58 year-old nurse Deb Schott who was from Biscay, Minnesota. Joshua Duda, a 42 year old paramedic from Pillager, Minnesota was injured and remains hospitalized. There were not patients on board at the time of the crash.
Brian Fox is the lead pilot at Tim McDonald's home base in Siren, Wisconsin and he and his wife have started a GoFundMe page on for Tim's family:
North Memorial Healthcare lost members of their healthcare family tragically today Friday, June 28, 2019 as their Brainerd, MN EMS helicopter crashed killing Tim McDonald, Pilot, and the flight nurse. The flight medic was very critically injured. Tim leaves behind his wife Crystal and 4 children. Crystal will need financial help and everyone’s prayers during such a tragic event. Hearts are so broken. This go fund me is started with deepest love and respect from Brian and Julie Fox.
They have requested that the page be shared everywhere and that everyone respects Tim's wife and family as they mourn privately.
