Popular Store Closes Inside Duluth’s Miller Hill Mall

It looks like there is one less store inside the Miller Hill Mall in Duluth. Some unfortunate news has been making headlines lately, stating that yet another retail store was facing financial hardships and might not be around much longer.

There have been many ups and downs for Express over the past few years, from closing a handful of stores across the country to teetering on the brink of bankruptcy, according to reports from late last year. The store sells clothing.

The past few times I have been to the Miller Hill Mall, I haven't noticed much activity inside the store. At times, it was closed or had seemingly strange hours. Now, the store is no longer inside the Miller Hill Mall, closed for good.

I wanted to make sure they weren't just remodeling or something so I went to the official Express website, which states that the store has indeed closed permanently inside the Miller Hill Mall. The store is also absent from the mall's website.

To take things one step further, I called the number given on the Express website for that particular location and the voicemail system confirms that it is indeed closed for good. However, shopping online is still an option if you are a big fan of the store and not close to any other Minnesota locations.

While this news is a bummer, there have been some great additions to the mall as of late. A sewing store opened in 2023, along with a Five Below, which is always packed when I walk by. There's something for everyone!
