We now know who will fill the space left empty at the Miller Hill Mall when Younkers closed its doors.

WDIO is reporting the Essentia has bought the property and will announce plans soon on what they plan on doing with the space.

In a statement, Essentia said, "The acquisition will allow the Northland’s largest health care provider to offer a variety of services to its patients at a convenient location. A number of options are being considered for developing this property. Those plans will be announced when they are finalized,"

According to WDIO, the 140,000+ sq. ft. space, parts of the surrounding parking lot and some undeveloped land on Decker Rd. is part of the deal, as none is owned by Simon Property Group, the owners of the mall.

The Miller Mill Hill Mall still has one big spot open, the former Sears location is empty still and like the Younkers property, it is a separate piece of property from the mall itself and no buyers have been found....as far as we know. Stay tuned.
