It's scam season and it's only going to get worse as we head into the holiday season! That's when even more scams pop up, which seems crazy to think about it.

Earlier this month, the Morrison County Government Center warned Minnesotans about a permit scam, which was crafted by one seriously convincing scammer.

A Minnesotan reported almost falling for a fake email scam, where the scammer had actually put time and effort into making it seem like it was coming from a legitimate source. Of course it wasn't.

Scammers are getting more sophisticated and that's why you need to read up on every scam so you don't fall victim. Now, there's another one going around Minnesota.

The Marquette County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office took to social media just a few days ago to warn people about a scam that has been reported in the area. What makes this scam different? It actually looks really convincing!

A local in the area reported the scam after they got a fake letter by email that said it was from the Marquette County Zoning Department. According to their post, these scammers used real employee names. They also used a county seal!

The email said that the local owed money to the department for fees. Because it looked so legitimate, unlike so many other scams, it would be easy to fall for no matter who you are.
