Duluth Police are reminding us to be aware of surroundings because of an incident involving a female jogger and a suspicious male.  How many of us run or jog for exercise and aren't always able to find a buddy to go with?   Here's what happened:

I was recently reminded to be sure and lock the doors of my vehicle. I usually do because it's become second nature and a habit, sadly a way of life. Apparently, there was a suspicious individual seen trying the handles of several cars in the parking lot. And, this was in broad daylight!

An even more disturbing incident occurred the evening of November 11.  At approximately 8:15 p.m. a female was out for a run in the 1700 block of East1 st St when she was approached by a male looking for assistance finding a house. The male then grabbed the female’s hand and tried to pull her toward him. After a brief struggle, the female was able to run away from the suspect. The male suspect was described as white, skinny, 6 feet tall, with a deep voice, scruffy face, big nose, and wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt.

The Duluth Police Department wants to remind everyone to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to 911. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Investigations at 730-5560.  Can you help?  Use your social media to pass this information on and help locate this man.
