Sometimes all it takes to solve a crime is some help from the community and the Duluth Police Department has introduced a new app that will make it easier for everyone to help.

The department officially launched its “DPDTIP” app, which is available on iPhones and Android devices through a free download from the Apple Store or Google Play.

The app allows people to send anonymous tips to the police regarding a variety of crimes or suspicious activity.  The police may ask for additional details, but you would still remain anonymous.

Anonymous tips can also be texted to 857411 with the keyword “DPDTIP” or submitted online at duluthmn.gov/police.
