The head lice notification procedure in Duluth used be that parents were notified when 3 cases of head lice were found in a classroom, but that is going to change after a request by the Duluth Parent Teacher Student Association.

DuluthNewsTribune.com is reporting that now parents will be notified when just one case of head lice is discovered in a classroom.  This will help families try to control outbreaks sooner.

Parents are encouraged to check their kids for lice once per week, especially before and after vacations, holidays and sleepovers.

Hopefully this will help as any family that has gone through a lice outbreak knows what a headache it can be.
