DNR Says No Application Needed For 2012 Fall Turkey Hunt

I know quite a few turkey hunters, some travel to the Dakotas, but some hunt locally and they will be happy to hear you won't need to fill out an application for this year's fall turkey hunt.  Instead, you can purchase it over the counter.  Here's the DNR details.Starting this year, Minnesota turkey hunters can pick up a license to hunt turkey where they purchase their other hunting and fishing licenses.  There will be no lottery application , however, hunters still must declare a turkey permit area when purchasing a license, and they need to stick to that hunting that area.  This will make it easier than ever to get ready for the exciting hunt!

This year's 30-day season begins Sept. 29 and runs through Oct. 28.

Licenses may also be purchased at any time before or during the season at DNR license agents, online at www.mndnr.gov/buyalicense or by phone at 888-665-4236.
