One only needs to check the statistics involving automobile crashes to see the effect that distracted driving has.  According to the United States Department of Transportation, 3142 people were killed in an automobile crash that was caused by distracted driving in 2019.  And it doesn't take long for the distraction to become a (deadly) problem.  "Sending or reading a text takes your eyes off the road for 5 seconds. One of the problems with distracted driving is that it's so subconsciously done that we don't even realize that we're doing it.  That's why it's important to identify those habits that we might have and change them.  It could save someone's' life - including yours.
