Costco Warns Of Fake Coupon Scam Circulating Internet
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. That's the case with the latest scam circulating the internet.
You may have seen a coupon making its way across Facebook. It was a $75 dollar gift card to Costco, promising the big discount if you shared it on your own page.
According to KARE 11 News out of Minneapolis, scammers asked Facebook users to share the coupon. In return, they promised they would be sent the hefty voucher.
The company caught wind of the scam and warned customers on their Facebook page, saying the following:
Despite several posts out there, Costco is NOT giving away $75 coupons. While we love our fans and our members, this offer is a SCAM, and in no way affiliated with Costco. Thanks to our fans for letting us know about this recurring hoax!
Yikes! If you see the coupon at any point, do not share it and let others on Facebook know that it is nothing but a big hoax.
In happier news, we will be seeing a Costco store of our own in Duluth. The store has officially been given the green light to move forward so look for it soon near West Arrowhead Road and Haines Road!
