Construction Begins April 29 on Maple Grove Road in Hermantown

If your travels through the Northland take you along Maple Grove Road in Hermantown, near the soccer fields and Sam's Club, be prepared for slower travel beginning this week.

The City of Hermantown posted the following message on their Facebook page:

A reminder that early next week there will be construction closing a lane of traffic on Maple Grove Road. Please see the graphic below to see how traffic will be impacted by the lane closure and intersection changes.

The good news is this is a relatively short period of time when compared to other road construction projects that seem to begin every spring or summer in the Northland.  Also, traffic will only be slightly re-routed and slowed, but not completely restricted in the area of impact.

Please allow extra time if traveling through the area and drive slowly as there will be workers and related equipment out through early July.
