Cole Swindell to Release ‘Down Home Sessions IV’ EP
Cole Swindell has been busy in the studio. The singer revealed on Monday (Oct. 30) that he'll be releasing the fourth installment of his Down Home Sessions EP in November. Titled Down Home Sessions IV, the project will be available on Nov. 24.
In addition to a new EP, Swindell will be embarking on a tour in the coming months. While no official cities or dates have been announced yet, a press release indicates that the singer will be returning to some of the cities and venues where he made his first fans.
Swindell has had a remarkably successful year. He recently celebrated his seventh consecutive No. 1 hit as an artist with "Flatliner," making him the only solo country artist in the history of the Country Aircheck/Mediabase to top the charts with first seven singles. He also has ten No. 1 singles as a songwriter to his name.
"When you dream of something, you don't think it's going to happen like this," Swindell says of his success. "That comes from a lot of support. It's just a dream come true."
Swindell achieved another career milestone earlier this year was when his sophomore album, You Should Be Here, was certified gold for selling 500,000 copies. The success of his career as both a songwriter and artist had him named NSAI Songwriter/Artist of the Year in 2016. He also won back-to-back CMA Triple Play Awards in 2015 and 2016 for having written three No. 1 songs in a 12 month span.
Swindell's current single, "Stay Downtown," is out now.
