Cloquet's Beach at Pinehurst Park was scheduled to open for the season next week.

The Beach at Pinehurst Park is a popular Twin Ports summer hangout, with a giant filtered and chlorinated swimming area that features a sand bottom and other great amenities like kiddie slides, changing rooms, and picnic areas will be closed for the 2020 season.

In a post on Facebook, they say, "Safety is always our priority. Due to Public Health concerns related to Covid-19, Pinehurst Beach will not open for the 2020 season. We look forward to seeing you in 2021!"

This is yet another blow to the summer of 2020, we are slowly running out of things to do. Pubic beaches are still open, so I guess we can freeze our butts off swimming in Lake Superior....brrrr!

Beach at Pinehurst Park offered classes, birthday parties, and the poplar doggie day at the end of the season where dogs could take a swim in the pool.
