Cloquet Closing All Outdoor Play Structures
In response to the world-wide pandemic, and recent cases of COVID-19 discovered in Carlton County, the City of Cloquet is closing all outdoor play structures.
This will be effective immediately and will impact all outdoor play structures including playgrounds and athletic facilities.
Here is official Safety Warning, issued by the City:
In continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Cloquet will close all outdoor play structures, including playgrounds and athletic facilities, effective immediately.
Sidewalks, trails, and other outdoor public areas will remain open. Still, the public should continue to practice social distancing in these areas. This directive is in line with guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health due to the risk of transmission via shared surfaces and group gatherings.
All City-owned buildings remain closed to the public. All events, rentals, programs, and activities are canceled through Sunday, May 1.
This is a necessary step to encourage the public to abide by social distancing guidelines and the stay home mandate throughout Minnesota.
