Cloquet 4th of July Celebration Needs Donations to Fund Fireworks Display
The pandemic forced the City of Cloquet to cancel their 4th of July celebration in 2020 and now city officials are striving for a return of the celebration in 2021, but they need help funding the fireworks display.
Cloquet MN Community Development shared the need for funding on their Facebook page. They state that the average cost for a fireworks display is $13,000. In a normal year, 90% of the fireworks funding comes from the Cloquet area business community. However, the COVID-19 pandemic deeply hurt local businesses, forcing multiple businesses to close as others work now to return normal with most restrictions lifted and people beginning to mostly resume regular activities across the state.
In order to raise the $13,000 needed for the fireworks display, they are reaching out to the community for help.
Please consider donating to the Fireworks Fund -- for the community. We can all watch from a socially appropriate distance or from our vehicles to keep our community safe! This year, let's make our FIREWORKS one to remember!
Those able to help are asked to send donations to:
