City of Duluth Has Historic Job Opening: Aerial Lift Bridge Operator

Once again, the City of Duluth is looking to hire a Bridge Operator, what an opportunity for someone with the right qualifications!  If you've been holding out for a dream job in the Northland, this is it!  But hurry, application deadline is January 4, 2016.

The opportunity to apply for Bridge Operator is open to all qualified candidates.  It would be 40 hours a week and you'd make between $42,444 and $49,680 Annual Equivalent.  Of course there's a probation period which would be 6 months.

 Quick Job Summary:

The Bridge Operator ensures safe passage of ships, pedestrians, and motorists by operating and maintaining lift bridges, and related equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

One (1) year of specialized electrical training, plus two (2) years of experience working with large electrically operated machinery; OR three (3) years of experience working with complex mechanized equipment; OR one (1) year of experience working with computer-controlled electrical equipment; OR a combination of education, training, and experience in the areas described within the classification description which is accepted as equivalent.
