After reading recently that vinyl is likely to soon outsell CDs for the first time since 1986, I thought it was time I bought a record player and jump on the bandwagon.

The last record player I had was part of an Emerson stereo that my dad bought me in 7th grade, so I had no idea what to expect when I started looking at them.  It turns out, there are a lot of options and here are the favorites I ultimately chose from.

3 Speed Vinyl Record Player with Stereo Speakers

This one has a vintage look, which I like, and the price won't break the bank.  A bonus feature is that is also acts as a wireless speaker so you can also play music from your phone or other smart device on this.

Victrola Navigator 8-In-1 Classic Bluetooth Record Player with USB Encoding and 3-Speed Turntable

This one will cost you a bit more but it while it maintains an old-school look that I tend to gravitate towards, it also has more advanced features above and beyond just playing records.  A remote for those advanced features is a nice bonus.

1byone Wireless Turntable Hi-Fi System with 36 Watt Bookshelf Speakers, Vinyl Record Player with Magnetic Cartridge

If you want to have the advanced features of the previous options, but want better speakers, then spend a little more to get a record player like this.  It comes with separate speakers for which will give you a better overall sound.  It also has a solid iron platter, which helps your records play with a consistent quality.

Record Player Bluetooth Turntable with Stereo Speakers Portable Belt-Driven

This well-reviewed option (the best of the bunch) has all of the features of the above options, with the exception of external speakers, but one thing I really like is that it also has an FM tuner so you can listen to us on the radio too!  A headphone jack is another feature on this one.

If you want to upgrade this player, there is a more expensive version with a rosewood finish.
