Over the past few years, Minnesota has become a popular place to film movies and television shows it seems. For cinema lovers like me, it's been cool to watch.

We've had a bunch of films even film around the Duluth area, like the popular holiday rom-com called Merry Kiss Cam, which had everyone talking.

We also had the Hallmark Channel romance Rescuing Christmas, which starred some pretty big names, like Rachael Leigh Cook and Sam Page.

Now, we have another movie to throw into the mix. This one is called Cash For Gold and it was filmed in Chisholm! It will be premiering in Duluth this week and you can attend!

Duluth Premiere Details

This film will be playing on Thursday, October 3rd at 7 p.m. in downtown Duluth. The movie will be playing at the Zeitgeist Zinema as part of the Duluth-Superior Film Festival.

The summary of the movie, per IMDb, is as follows:

Struggling to save her home from foreclosure and stay sober after her military husband's death, Grace goes to work for her small town's only Muslim family and is forced to come face-to-face with the demons that threaten to pull her under.

I can't wait to watch this movie filmed in our neck of the woods. I hope it continues to have big success. The movie is looking at an early 2025 release, per a comment on the official movie's social media pages.
