It's feast or famine!  It's either too cold or too hot!!!  The latter is what we expect for Monday through the evening.  At least it won't last long, but there are still precautions to take when it comes to your family, the elderly (especially neighbors) and your pets.

There is ALWAYS "wild" fun going on at the Lake Superior Zoo!  In fact, did you know you can have a sleep over there? I know a lot of people travel all over to camp, fish and enjoy the outdoors.  Of course, there are pests to be aware of and if you're heading towards the Detroit Lakes area in Minnesota, then this will of special interest to you.

I've never seen a tornado like this.  This took place on June 18th, 2014, and was filmed by TVNweather.com.  They got some great footage of a large tornado and it's multiple vortices.  It is a must see video!

Earlier this week an EF4 tornado ripped throw Pilger, Nebraska.  Gene Willers, a Midwest Bank President rushed his staff of eight into the bank vault to take shelter, but there was a problem.  Someone would have to remain outside to lock it.  Gene took that responsibility himself.

The City of Superior has dealt with gypsy moths and emerald ash bore recently.  In fact my co-host Ken Hayes had to have a tree from his boulevard removed because of the threat.  Now the Minnesota Department of Agriculture says we need to treat 1,200 acres of land in the City of Duluth to slow the spread of a gypsy moth infestation.

Summer in the Northland is not complete without several visitsto the beach on Park Point!  The beach is open to the public complete with lifeguards, the option of borrowing a life jacket and a warning of risky swimming.

I've never liked the smell of mosquito repellent like Off or Skin-So-Soft.  I never thought the Citronella candles worked very good and short of fumigating with a canister of insecticide fog like they use to do at the drive-in movie theaters, what's left to try?  DIY Mosquito Trap!

After 65 million years, the dinosaurs are coming back and they'll be in Duluth!  Seriously, this is a fun, interactive, hands-on exhibit that will provide hours of fun and learning this weekend.  I'm a fan of the Bejeweled game and found this fun Dino Drop game (like Bejeweled for kids) to get you in the mood to explore prehistoric times this weekend!

This last weekend was the best weather we've experienced in a long time.  We finally spent some time outdoors at the lake.  We cleaned up the yard at home, and even did some fishing.  However, by Monday a few of us were feeling the effects of some terrible seasonal allergies.
