Carlton native Sam Kavanaugh continues his streak of appearances on the TV quiz show Jeopardy! on Monday afternoon, looking to defend his title as returning champion from last week.

Kavanaugh's debut was last Wednesday, where he defeated the previous returning champion Ryan Bilger and collected an impressive $38,001 in winnings. His streak continued last week, adding $7,999 on Thursday and $29,601 on Friday, giving him a 3-day total of $75,601.

He enters the new week against San Diego journalist Jeff Lasky and Christina Harcar, an audiobook seller from The Bronx, New York.

For people that watch the show regularly, some might anticipate that there is an advantage to being a returning champion. While it isn't exactly "home field advantage" like in sports, you might expect familiarity and being comfortable with the process being helpful. Sam tweeted about this and other thoughts on Thursday, as he reflected on his experiences so far.

Will Kavanaugh extend his winning streak to four games? We'll find out on Monday afternoon (7/15) at 5 pm on CBS3.
