New Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Schedule Includes Stops In Minnesota
The CPKC Holiday Train will embark on its annual festive journey through the United States on Saturday, November 22, spreading holiday cheer while providing entertainment and supporting local food banks.
The CPKC Holiday Train began in 1999 as a way to raise money and collect food for North American food banks. The annual program actually features two brightly decorated trains, allowing them to visit as many communities as possible across Canada and the U.S.
In each community they visit, they host free concerts from a boxcar stage and collect donations. Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected approximately 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.
The 2025 schedule was recently announced, featuring many stops in Minnesota. If you are anywhere near the communities where it's stopping should make the effort to be there and get into the holiday spirit. Please remember to bring a food shelf donation if you're able, and cash donations are also accepted.
