Butterball Recalls Ground Turkey Due To Salmonella Risk
Nearly 80,000 pounds of ground turkey have been recalled after 5 people have been sickened. The affected ground turkey was packaged 9 months ago, so it's probably not on any retail shelves right now, but it may be in consumer's freezers.
The tainted meat is from Butterball Turkey LLC and has a use or sell by date of July 26, 2018. According to people.com, 4 people in a residential facility in Wisconsin got salmonella from the turkey. Another single case was reported in Minnesota.
Products included in the recall were named "Butterball Fresh Everyday Ground Turkey, All Natural Ground Turkey, and Kroger Fresh Ground Turkey with use by date of July 26th, 2018.
